But the native apps gets more and more annoying they have a history of faking system standard dialogs to “trick” you into installing the kernel extension with root privileges and resource consumption was at times confusingly high. I’ve been an early Dropbox user and invited friends until I got up to 10 GiB, which was a ton of storage back in the day. Today I have uninstalled the Dropbox app from my Mac. I Uninstalled the Dropbox App in Favor of Maestral.The possibilities are endless and it’s quite simple to create a Shortcut or Automator Workflow instead. In fact, Keyboard Maestro versions going back as far as version 4.x still work fine on Mojave. Also helps to use Visual Studio Code which has many AHK-extensions for syntax and compiling/debugging. Yes, Keyboard Maestro version 10 is fully compatible with Catalina. Go thru the tutorial and always have the window open and ctrl+s for functions/terms/commands/directives/hotkey-syntax. The macros use the maestral shortlink PATH command-line program. Documentation is quite good, but not perfect. Update : Joel added a new “reveal file on ” macro, too. (I didn’t even know this was possible.) Joel even walks us through the macros and how to set them up in a 12 minute video. With a full-size keyboard, you have enough keys to make shortcuts to all menu items in. The main selling point is that you can combine. Keyboard Maestro can make good use of MIDI devices even in apps that normally don’t recognize them. Like with other productivity apps such as Alfred or Launchbar, it’s difficult to give a concise definition of what the app doesit is endlessly customisable. Since my switch to Maestro from the macOS native Dropbox app with all its annoying features, there’s only one thing I missed from the Dropbox app – copying links to files in my Dropbox to share them with others.
